The Story Continues...
On February 16th, a little more than a week after her cancer diagnosis, Heather created a Bucket List, unbeknownst to me. I was aware of some of these, but not that they were on a bucket list.
Unfortunately, we were not able to complete any of these, although we were certainly trying.
Even so, her children and I will carry Heather with us as we add these to our own bucket lists and she is able to complete them through us. We will document the journey here.
Bucket List, 02/16/2025:
- NED!!!
- Scotland (her mother was born in Scotland)
- Beach (I tried so hard to get her to the beaches on the gulf coast of Florida, which she loved)
- Zip lining
- Tatto of birth flowers (matching ankle tattoos with Reina)
- Alaskan cruise (one of mine)
- Skiing or snowboarding
- Have a home with trees and space (We were working on this. We had 2 acres north of Houston)
- Enjoy exercise & do it daily
- Become a morning person
- Kelly Clarkson in concert
- Plastic surgery (she had lost 150 lbs and kept it off. She was so amazing.)
- Declutter my home (She had a lot of clutter from her thrifting, but that didn't count. This was MY clutter!)
- See Reina graduate college
- Hold my first grandchild
